I want to acknowledge that the land we are on today has been inhabited by the Tongva, Gabrieleno, and Acjachemen/Juaneño Nations, who have lived here and continue to do so. As the first stewards and traditional caretakers of this land, the Tongva and Acjachemen Nations hold a deep spiritual connection to this region, which I recognize and respect. I offer my love and respect for the opportunity to live, work and create on their homeland, and I honor their connection to this land. Please join me in taking a moment of silence to pay respect to the elders of the Gabrieleno and Tongva people, as well as to all Acjachemen/Juaneño Nations, past and present.
